Square Enix may announce Guardians of the Galaxy at E3

Back in 2017, Square Enix announced a deal with Marvel to produce two major video games based on the superhero franchise. The first was Marvel's Avengers, developed by Crystal Dynamics and released 2020. Now, it looks like the second game, developed by Eidos Montreal, is about to be announced.

Today Square Enix began teasing announcements for its E3 showcase on the 13th of June. The teaser poster promises news for Marvel's Avengers, Life is Strange: True Colors and Babylon's Fall. The poster also shows that we'll be getting a “world premiere” from Eidos Montreal.

While the poster doesn't explicitly state what this new game will be, leaks from back in 2017 suggested that Eidos Montreal is working on a Guardians of the Galaxy game in partnership with Marvel, having put the Deus Ex franchise on the back burner for a while.

Square Enix will be hosting its E3 announcements on the 13th of June at 8:15PM UK time.

KitGuru Says: Marvel's Avengers did not launch to the best reception, so hopefully this second project can learn from those mistakes.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
