Dying Light 2 re-reveal set for tomorrow

Tomorrow, Thursday the 27th of May appears to be a busy day for the gaming industry, alongside a State of Play focused on Horizon Forbidden West and a Sonic the Hedgehog showcase, it would seem as though the much-delayed Dying Light 2 is set to be re-revealed, thanks to some hints embedded within special Dying Light care packages.

Techland recently sent out a number of care packages to a select group of gaming influencers. While initially cryptic, a quick scan of the package with a UV light revealed what appears to be a time and date for a brand new look at Dying Light 2.

Taking place on Techland’s official Twitch page, Dying Light 2 is set to be re-revealed tomorrow, on the 27th of May at 8pm UK time. This slots in neatly between tomorrow’s two other major events – with a Sonic the Hedgehog stream taking place at 5pm UK time, and the Horizon Forbidden West State of Play later in the evening at 10pm.

Originally intended to release in early 2020, Dying Light 2 was delayed indefinitely, though development steadily continued. Hopefully alongside a new look at the much-anticipated sequel, Techland will give fans a solid release date to look forward to.

The Microsoft Store recently leaked a new repackage of the first Dying Light game, dubbed the Platinum Edition, with a release date set for the 27th of May. It will be interesting to see what Techland also has to say about this new bundle.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
