Western Digital launches WD Green SN350 M.2 SSDs

Western Digital has launched a new entry-level NVMe M.2 SSD. Available in 240GB, 480GB, and 960GB storage capacities, the WD Green SN350 “can revitalize your old computer for daily use”, providing up to four times the performance of SATA drives.

The WD Green SN350 is a PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD featuring an M.2 2280 form factor that will be compatible with most modern PCs. With maximum read speeds of up to 2400MB/s across all models and maximum write speeds of 1950/1650/900MBps (960/480/240GB), the WD Green SN350 is Western Digital's entry-level M.2 NVMe SSD storage solution. All models have a rated MTTF of up to 1M hours, while the endurance caries with the storage capacity: 40TBW for the 240GB model, 60TBW for the 480GB model, and 80TBW for the 960GB model. The NAND type of memory has not been disclosed but given the low TBW and the SSD's modest performance, it seems that it's using QLC-NAND flash memory.

Using the Western Digital SSD Dashboard, owners of the WD Green SN350 can use this software to monitor the performance, storage space, temperature, and other statistics.

The WD Green SN350 is available now in the US with a 3-year warranty, priced at $43.99 for the 240GB model, $54.99 for the 480GB model, and $99.99 for the 960GB model. You can learn more about it HERE.

KitGuru says: Would you consider the WD Green SN350 for a value-oriented PC build? Can this SSD stand out from the competition in the entry-level segment?
