February’s PlayStation Plus Games announced

Each month Sony offers a number of titles for free to all those who are subscribed to the console manufacturer’s PlayStation Plus service. For the month of february, subscribers can get their hands on a number of major titles, including Control Ultimate Edition and the brand new Destruction AllStars.

With the recent launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony have begun to offer a free PS5 title in its monthly PS Plus line-up. This month however, subscribers can get their hands on two PS5 titles – one cross gen and another next gen exclusive – as well as a PS4 game available via backwards compatibility.

The three games available for free for February are:

  • Destruction AllStars (PS5)
  • Control Ultimate Edition  (PS5 & PS4)
  • Concrete Genie (PS4)

Destruction AllStars is a brand new PS5 exclusive title which sees you “Entertain the crowds by bringing controlled chaos to the vehicular combat arena of this metal-crunching multiplayer game” as players “pick one of 16 superstar competitors, then leap into four game modes, using timing, tactics and skills to cause carnage behind the wheel or create havoc with your parkour skills.”

Control Ultimate Edition is a rerelease of the 2019 action-adventure title from Remedy Entertainment. Playable on both PS4 and PS5, the PS5 version comes with a number of enhancements including 60fps gameplay or ray-tracing.

Concrete Genie is a heartwarming first-party action-adventure title which has players “pick up a magic paintbrush and return the polluted town of Denska to its former bright and bustling seaside self.”

Control and Concrete Genie will be available to purchase for free to all those with a PS Plus subscription from the 2nd of February until the 1st of March, while Destruction AllStars will remain available to purchase until the 5th of April.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
