DOOM Eternal’s first expansion ‘The Ancient Gods’ coming in October

A few weeks ago during QuakeCon At Home, Bethesda revealed the first teaser for DOOM Eternal – The Ancient Gods. This is part one of a duo of story expansions coming to the game and now during Gamescom 2020, more of the expansion has been revealed.

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, the full official trailer for ‘The Ancient Gods: Part One' was released, as well as the expansion's release date – October 20th.

Here is the description Bethesda included with the teaser: “Your war is not over… slaying the Khan Maykr left an imbalance of power that threatens all of creation. With the aid of an old ally, battle your way back to Urdak and decide the fate of the cosmos. Your mission is now your own.”

In this expansion the DOOM Slayer will need to leave his castle once again to rip and tear. We'll be treading on new ground for the DOOM universe and will encounter some new demon types as well. There is no word on when The Ancient Gods: Part Two will arrive, but we can expect to see it in the first half of 2021.

KitGuru Says: The next matchup for the Doom Slayer has been decided. Will many of you be returning to DOOM Eternal for this expansion in October?
