Google Pixel 5 revealed in new renders

Google has only just shipped its latest smartphone, the Pixel 4A. However, the highly anticipated Pixel 5 is not far behind and this week, we've got our first good look at the design thanks to come new renders.

OnLeaks and Indian tech site, PriceBaba, have collaborated, pooling together everything they know about the Pixel 5 so far, including features, hardware and phone dimensions. Using all of these details, they are able to create their own renders of what the Pixel 5 should look like with a good degree of accuracy:

There isn't much to pick apart here, with many features being expected from a flagship Android smartphone in 2020. That includes the new square camera module with multiple camera sensors, the all-screen design with a hole-punch front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor for biometric security.

The report claims that the Pixel 5 will ship with a 5.7 or 5.8-inch display, a Snapdragon 765 SoC, a 5G modem for ultra-fast mobile connectivity and a textured chassis to help with grip, stopping the phone from slipping out of your hands easily. Currently, Google is expected to officially announce the Pixel 5 in October.

KitGuru Says: Google typically announces a new flagship Android phone each October and given how close we are to that date, it seems likely that these rumours and leaks are accurate. Are any of you planning on upgrading your phone before the end of the year? Will you be waiting to see what the Pixel 5 brings to the table?
