Dying Light 2 aiming to release in 2021

Just as promised, this week Techland finally gave us an update on the status of Dying Light 2. It would seem that after multiple delays and reports of internal development struggles, the game is in its final stretch, and should be out this year.

Last night in a developer update video, Techland revealed that Dying Light 2 is targeting a 2021 release date. A small amount of new gameplay footage was also shown:

“This is a huge and complex project and we needed time to make sure it will live up to our vision. All of us here are putting our hearts into delivering a game that you will keep playing for months”.

Unfortunately, this wasn't as big of an update as many had hoped for, with the full video coming in at less than three minutes long and half of that being a parody of Jimmy Kimmel's ‘mean tweets' segment . Still, hopefully this is the start of more transparency from the studio with more community updates to come.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully the 2021 target release window is realistic and Techland keeps the communication up in the months to come. Are any of you looking forward to Dying Light 2? What did you think of last night's update?
