Nvidia extends RTX 3080/3090 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bundle

For a couple of months now, Nvidia has been running a promotion to give away free copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to buyers of RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards. This free game offer was due to end this month, but it is now being extended.

Getting hold of an RTX 30 series card is still quite difficult, even three months after pre-orders went live. Still, if you are lucky enough to get your hands on one at a participating retailer soon, you will still get a free copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Black Ops Cold War is one of this year's big ray-tracing showcases. On PC, the game comes with ray-traced lighting, shadows and ambient occlusion. It also supports DLSS 2.0 for the best possible performance while utilising ray-tracing effects. Finally, it also supports NVIDIA REFLEX, a new technology that uses the GPU to reduce input latency, giving a competitive edge.

The RTX 3080/3090 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War bundle will remain live until the 11th of January 2021, so if you buy a card before then, you'll get the game for free.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
