Scott Pilgrim vs. The World release date announced

Many video games have been delisted over the years due to licensing issues, leading to discussions surrounding video game conservation. Luckily for fans of the Scott Pilgrim video game, this will no longer be an issue. Announced back in September, Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game Complete Edition has now received an official release date, with the game arriving in January 2021.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition is a remaster of the side scrolling beat em up developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released back in 2010. The game tied in with the release of the film, which received a positive reception (as did the game).

In 2014 however the game, which was only released digitally, was pulled from stores and delisted due to game licenses expiring. Fans quickly let it be known that they wished to see the return of the game, which was by all accounts a fun time. These cries fell on deaf ears however until earlier this year, when the series’ creator as well as the film’s director, both publicly announced their desires to see the game brought back.

In September, Ubisoft finally announced the return of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game in the form of a “Complete Edition” to celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary. The complete edition is a remaster of the original title, and will include all of its DLC.

The game will launch on the 14th of January 2021 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and even Google Stadia; will include both local and online co-op multiplayer, and will cost $14.99.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
