Microsoft Store leaks new release date for Far Cry 6

Recently, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 would no longer be coming out in February 2021 and would instead release later in the year. A specific new release date has not been announced, but Microsoft may have accidentally confirmed the new date already.

On the Microsoft Store, the listing for Far Cry 6 has been updated with a new release date – May 25th 2021.

This lines up with Ubisoft's recent earnings call, during which the publisher told investors that Far Cry 6 would no longer be releasing in the current fiscal year, but that it would arrive within the April 2021-March 2022 period.

This new release date would mean that Far Cry 6 was only delayed by three months. Of course, we do need to await confirmation from Ubisoft before getting our hopes up.

KitGuru Says: It looks like Far Cry 6 will still be coming in the first half of 2021 for PC, current-gen and next-gen consoles. Are many of you looking forward to the next Far Cry game?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
