Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter RPG fans have been waiting for

It has been a couple of years since we first saw the leak of a Harry Potter RPG in development at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Insiders had previously reported that this game would be unveiled in 2020 and sure enough, last night during the PS5 showcase, Hogwarts Legacy was officially announced.

Hogwarts Legacy is the Harry Potter game we've all been waiting on following the 2018 leak. It is an open-world, single-player action RPG set in the 1800s.

Players will get to create their own character and experience student life in Hogwarts. Soon enough, you'll be embarking on “a dangerous journey to uncover the hidden truth of the wizarding world”. Over time, you'll invest more in your skills, mastering spells, taming fantastic beasts and brewing potions.

The game is set in the Harry Potter universe but don't expect to bump into Harry roaming around the halls. This is very much an exploration of the wider wizarding universe first introduced in Harry Potter. Hogwarts Legacy is due to release for current-gen and next-gen consoles as well as PC in 2021.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
