GELID launch DRAM heatsinks with RGB

GELID has announced a new line of memory module heatsinks with RGB lighting effects. The new Lumen RGB RAM Cooler that was unveiled by GELID earlier this week offers PC builders an easy way of adding RGB lighting to the system.

The new Lumen RGB RAM Cooler from GELID is a double-sided vest heatsink design that provides enhanced DRAM cooling as well as an RGB module equipped with a standard 3-pin fan header connection allowing it to be powered by any motherboard. RGB functions of the Lumen RAM heatsinks are fully automatic and require no additional hardware or software to control lighting effects.

The idea of the Lumen RGB RAM Cooler is to enable any DRAM modules to be upgraded with RGB lighting, a simple and cost-effective way of adding RGB lighting to any system. According to GELID, the heatsinks are manufactured from high-grade materials and support DRAM form factors including DDR2, DDR3 and DDR4 desktop modules.

Installation of the Lumen RGB RAM Cooler is said to be fast and the heatsink is a perfect fit. It not only enhances the appearance with the RGB lighting effects but also offers additional cooling of the memory modules to potentially boost overclocking capabilities.

GELID RGB RAM Cooler features:

  • Fully Automatic RGB Mode
  • Double-Side Vest Heatsink
  • Lightweight Design & High Performance
  • Easy Setup
  • Supports All Standard & Low-Profile DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 RAM
  • 2x Thermal Pads Included

The GELID RGB RAM Cooler x2 module kits are available in black or red colour schemes, priced at $9.99 USD or €8.99.
