Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super outperforms RTX 4070 Ti in early 3DMark tests

The RTX 4070 Ti Super release is right around the corner, but we're already seeing the first leaked benchmark results of the upcoming GPU. While promising, it's important to note that these first results are from synthetic benchmarks and don't always provide a complete picture.

The benchmark results shared by VideoCardz show that the RTX 4070 Ti Super is 15% slower than the RTX 4080 and 8% faster than the regular RTX 4070 Ti across a range of 3DMark benchmarks. As previously reported, the RTX 4080 card is set to be discontinued once the RTX 4080 Super card is introduced. This will also happen with the RTX 4070 Ti.

The new RTX 4070 Ti Super will cost the same as the non-Super version but pack an extra 4 GB of GDDR6x memory and 768 CUDA cores, a 256-bit memory bus instead of a 192-bit one, and a 30 MHz higher base clock. Based on the 3DMark results alone, these upgrades make it from 5% to 14% faster (averages at 8%) than the standard RTX 4070 Super. These results were obtained with an RTX 4070 Ti card running with the latest GeForce 551.15 driver.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super is set to be released on January 24th, with early reviews coming the day before. Unlike the RTX 4080 Super and 4070 Super, the 4070 Ti Super won't have a Founders Edition card.

KitGuru says: Are the performance gains over the standard RTX 4070 Super within your expectations, or were you expecting more?
