Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC “The Isle of Armor” to release on June 17

The Pokémon Company has set the release date for the first part of Pokémon Sword and Shield's expansion pass. The Isle of Armor will launch on June 17, while the Crown Thundra is set for a release in autumn 2020. Both DLCs will come with new Pokémons, new maps, new Gigantamax forms, new moves, and more.

The first DLC will take place at the Isle of Armor, an island in the Galar region filled with inhabitant Pokémons. In this island, there's also a dojo where Pokémon trainers battle to improve their skills. Mustard, the master of this dojo, will teach players all he knows so they can become stronger alongside their Pokémons.

Urshifu is a new legendary pokémon being added to the franchise. An evolution of Kubfu, the new legendary will have two forms – Single Strike Style and Rapid Strike Style – and respective Gigantamax forms. The Urshifu (Single Strike Style) is a fighting/dark-type Pokémon, while the Urishifu (Rapid Strike Style) is a fighting/water-type Pokémon. Each form has its own signature move, which are wicked blow and surging strikes, respectively. Urshifu will also introduce a new ability called Unseen Fist.

Another new Pokémon that will be available in the Isle of Amor is the Galarian Slowbro, a psychic/poison-type Pokémon with the Quick Draw ability. There will be also two new Gigantamax forms: one for Venusaur, and another for Blastoise. Lastly, Kubfu will get an evolution.

Other new moves introduced with the Isle of Armor include the Burning Jealousy, a fire-type move, and Grassy Glide, a grass-type move. Another addition coming with The Isle of Armor is the Cram-o-matic, which transforms four items into a new one. The resulting items can be rare items or something more common like Poké Balls, PP Ups, among others. Additionally, the Isle of Armor will introduce the Max Soup item, allowing your Pokémons to Gingatamax.

The Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion pass is available now for pre-order, priced at £26.99 at Nintendo's official UK store. You can learn more about it HERE.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
