Upcoming Sony ‘INZONE H9 II’ PlayStation headset leaks ahead of announcement

Back in 2022, Sony officially announced and launched a new line-up of gaming accessories and peripherals under the brand name INZONE. Among the list of products was PlayStation’s INZONE H9 wireless headset. Following a successful few years on the market, it seems as though the H9 is set to get a pretty exciting refresh.

As shared by known industry insider BillBil-kun via Dealabs, PlayStation’s high-end wireless headset the INZONE H9 is set to get a successor in the form of the ‘H9 II’.

Reportedly being officially announced over the coming days, this new model will bring with it quite a few notable improvements.

Perhaps the most immediately noticeable will be the overall comfort, as the H9 IIs will be shaving off around 20% of its weight down to 260g. In terms of audio quality, this successor will use the same speakers found in Sony’s excellent high-end WH-1000XM6 headphones.

Beyond this, the headset will now offer a detachable noise-cancelling microphone alongside improved Bluetooth LE and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Unfortunately, these improvements won’t be free, with the INZONE H9 II seeing a $50 price hike compared to the last generation – set to retail for $349.99.

That said, Sony’s current INZONE headsets have been warmly received, with particular praise being given to its audio quality. As such, while not an insignificant price increase compared to the previous model, it should hopefully be worth it.
