Sony cancels a majority of its future ‘PlayStation: The Concert’ tour dates

Last year, PlayStation officially announced that they would be going on a world tour concert, featuring “state-of-the-art production” and music from across the brand’s 30 year history. Unfortunately, the ‘world tour’ seems to have turned into a UK tour – with many European and US-based shows being unceremoniously cancelled.

As reported by the publication VGC, Sony has cancelled a majority of its upcoming tour dates for ‘PlayStation: The Concert’.

Initially kicking off earlier this year in April, Sony completed its UK concerts before heading over to Europe. Unfortunately, a large number of the European shows were either cancelled or postponed to 2026, leading to confusion and concern from fans.

6 months on and it appears as though the tour might be ending early, with VGC noting that Ticketmaster has recently informed buyers across multiple US cities of the show’s cancellation – including but not limited to Atlanta; Cleveland; Detroit; New York; Washington DC; Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia.

PlayStation Concert

In case you missed it back when it was announced, PlayStation: The Concert was pitched as “a stunning fusion of multi-layered visuals, immersive surround sound, and an all-star ensemble blending classical and modern instruments.”

That said, some of those who managed to attend the show in the UK were ultimately left a bit disappointed.

Sony themselves have yet to comment on these cancellations, and so we will have to wait and see whether the console maker offers an official reason for this sudden move.

Music is a massive part of what makes an excellent video game special, and so it is disappointing to see that those looking forward to the concert might not be able to attend in the end.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
