NieR: Reincarnation is a new NieR video game for mobile platforms

Following the announcement of the remaster of NieR: Replicant and the release date of SINoALICE, another mobile game from Yoko Taro, Platinum and Square Enix have announced a new NieR video game. NieR: Reincarnation is the first mobile game of the franchise, announced during the NieR's 10th anniversary event.

The NieR: Reincarnation announcement also came with a short teaser trailer and a fairly “empty” website. According to Destructoid (via PocketGamer), from its translation of the website, it seems that the new NieR mobile game will be free-to-play and it will be available in both Android and iOS platforms.

The trailer doesn't show much of game itself, besides a glimpse of the game's setting called “The Cage”, and some snippets of a girl that might be the main character of NieR: Reincarnation.

Applibot, also known for its work on the rhythm-based mobile game Seven's Code and Blade Xlord, also an RPG for mobile platforms, will be developing NieR: Reincarnation. According to PocketGamer, CyDesignation, a developer that worked on the characters of both Granblue Fantasy and NieR: Automata, will also be in charge of the character design for the mobile NieR game.

NieR Reincarnation's release date and availability are still unknown. You can learn more about the upcoming NieR mobile game on its official website.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
