Leak claims World of Warcraft: Midnight will launch in February

The World of Warcraft: Midnight closed alpha test kicked off this week, giving a limited number of players the chance to test out features from the new expansion. While Blizzard has not yet announced an official release date for the full expansion, a leak from a very reliable source points to an early 2026 release.

Billbil-kun, a renowned leaker writing for Dealabs, has made the claim that World of Warcraft: Midnight, the second expansion in the ongoing ‘Worldsoul Saga', will launch on February 26th 2026. The report also includes some new details about the upcoming Collector's Edition of the game.

The Midnight Collector's Edition will cost around $150 and includes a game key, three days of early access, 30 days of WoW subscription time and a few other bits, like a replica of the Dark Hart, an exclusive pin and a hardcover artbook.

The closed alpha for Midnight began on October 2nd and will last several weeks while the developers gather data on what issues need to be prioritised. It is worth noting that Blizzard has not yet officially announced the release date, so if more time is needed to get the expansion ready, then a delay is still possible.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
