Forza Horizon 6 officially announced with reveal trailer

Following on from a leak earlier this month, Playground Games has officially confirmed Forza Horizon 6. The game was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2025, an apt venue for the announcement, as Forza Horizon 6 will take players to the streets of Japan.

While not coming out this year, Forza Horizon 6 is coming to Xbox Series X/S consoles and PC in 2026. A PS5 version is also on the way, but it won't be out at the same time as the other platforms. The big draw this time is the opportunity to drive around a richly detailed version of Japan, taking part in everything from street, rally and track races to various mini challenges dotted all around the map.

The trailer is unfortunately CGI, so no gameplay footage just yet. However, Playground Games did confirm something that we learned in an earlier leak, Japan's iconic Kei cars will be in the game. We first heard about this when an Australian car shop posted about having a visit from Playground Games this year, where they scanned Kei cars. This is what led to the community to the conclusion that Forza Horizon 6 would take place in Japan.

There is no exact release date yet, so it is unclear of Forza Horizon 6 will drop earlier in the year, or if it will be a late September/October release like past entries in the series. Moving forward, Forza Horizon is likely to be the main focus, as Turn10 Studios, the team behind Forza Motorsport, has undergone mass layoffs.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
