Xbox has announced that Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, the teams behind Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport, will merge into a single studio as part of the company’s ongoing restructuring.

Rumours around Forza Horizon 6 have been circulating for a couple of weeks now, with claims that the PS5 version had quietly slipped out of 2026. The idea was that Microsoft’s renewed focus on exclusives had pushed the PlayStation release down the priority list. That never lined up with what Playground had been saying publicly, and now we have direct confirmation that the rumour was simply wrong.

Following months of silence, Playground Games have reaffirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will be coming to PlayStation 5 before the end of the year.
