Phantom Blade Zero amasses 3 million wishlists ahead of October launch

Phantom Blade Zero has been a long time coming, with the flashy action-adventure title being first announced back in 2023 (though development stretches as far back as 2017). Set to finally launch in a little over a month’s time, the team at studio S-GAME have revealed that Phantom Blade Zero has already hit some major milestones – surpassing 3 million total wishlists.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the official Phantom Blade Zero page confirmed that interest in the upcoming spectacle fighter has reached new highs in anticipation of its upcoming 29th October launch, writing: “WE HIT 3 MILLION WISHLISTS across all platforms! We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been following and supporting Phantom Blade Zero. See you on October 29, 2026.”

Of course, wishlists are just that – wishlists – and so the real question will be how many of those 3 million wind up purchasing the actual game.

In this regard, things do appear to be positive, with the studio confirming last month that pre-orders have “far exceeded expectations”, though no concrete figures were shared at the time.

In case you missed it, Phantom Blade Zero’s previously-released pre-order trailer (and subsequent State of Play presentation) included a pretty comprehensive look at the game, offering insight into its many weapons; gameplay styles; difficulty modes and more.

All-in-all, Phantom Blade Zero looks poised to be a success. Here’s to hoping that S-GAME’s almost 10 years worth of development pays off when the title finally arrives on the 29th of October.
