Cyberpunk 2077 gets new 4K screenshots and concept art at Gamescom

Last night, CD Projekt Red began teasing something Cyberpunk 2077 related for Gamescom. The event kicked off today and while we didn't get any gameplay or a new trailer, we did get some new screenshots and concept art to stare at.

CD Projekt Red has only revealed a small amount of information surrounding Cyberpunk 2077. We know that we'll be playing as the main character ‘V' in Night City. Character creation will be available, a reputation system is in place and the game will feature many RPG mechanics. Here are the 4K in-game screenshots, which were shared via Twitter.

Aside from in-game screenshots, CD Projekt Red shared some concept art for the game during IGN Live:

Speaking with PCGamer at Gamescom, a little more about the game was revealed. According to Cyberpunk 2077 quest designer, Patrick MIlls, quests will work similarly to how they do in  The Witcher 3: “What I would say is I'd expect something to similar to The Witcher 3. Particularly in terms of playtime and in terms of quest complexity. Specifically, I'd even look more at the expansions than The Witcher 3 base game because that's really where the quest design philosophy that we're using now came from—it was developed later in the expansions.”

KitGuru Says: While I was hoping for a little more in terms of Gamescom reveals, those new screenshots do look incredible. Hopefully the rest of us will get a glimpse at Cyberpunk gameplay next year and perhaps some more information on a release date.
