Techland teases new features for Dying Light modders

There is a lot of drama going on in the modding scene right now thanks to Valve's latest venture but there are still plenty of developers providing us with the tools to mod the old fashioned way. Techland has today released a trailer detailing some new features for modders using the Dying Light creation kit.

The Dying Light editing software will be getting regular updates, with upcoming features including terrain creation, allowing users to make entirely new maps or edit areas that currently exist. Custom model support is coming as well as multiplayer support. [yframe url='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5dFDNRLbiQ&feature=youtu.be']

Techland hopes that by giving the right tools to the community, we will be able to experience Dying Light in a “completely new way”.

To encourage modders to get on board with Dying Light, Techland has also announced a competition in conjunction with Nvidia. The developer will be giving away a GTX 980 graphics card to one modder. All you have to do is upload an openly available map before the 11th of May. Full details can be found on the official site, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Techland has done a great job with supporting the community with mod tools so far. I've yet to complete Dying Light myself but I am very interested in taking a look at all of the mods as and when they become available. Have any of you guys checked out some Dying Light mods yet? Any recommendations?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
