Crash Team Rumble has been in the works for years but the game is finally nearing launch. The latest spin-off in the franchise goes in a very different direction, offering up MOBA gameplay in a competitive multiplayer setting.
Crash Team Rumble is officially launching on the 20th of June, Activision announced today following the latest gameplay leak, which showed 30 seconds of the game in action. The game, developed by Toys for Bob, will release for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PS5, but a PC release has not been announced, which is admittedly odd for a MOBA-style game.
There will be a beta taking place from the 20th of April until the 24th, but unfortunately access is limited to pre-order customers only, with no announced plans for a true open beta.
The game itself will cost $29.99, another odd move for a MOBA, as these titles are traditionally free to play. You can get a deluxe edition for $39.99, which will include the Season 2 battle pass (first one comes free with the base version of the game), and a set of battle pass tier skips and unique skins.
The beta for Crash Team Rumble will include five playable characters, Crash, Coco, Dingodile, Dr Neo Cortex and Tawna.

KitGuru Says: The lack of PC release here is disappointing but is also on brand for recent Crash Bandicoot releases, which have come to PC after initially releasing on consoles. Hopefully if Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard goes through, this will become a thing of the past.
