The Logitech G533 promises superior wireless, long battery life

Logitech is looking to step up its audio in 2017 as this week, Logitech G unveiled its new G533 Wireless Gaming Headset, featuring new Pro-G drivers and DTS certified 7.1 surround sound, which are said to deliver advanced audio performance.

The Logitech G533 was created in an effort to achieve the most accurate positioning of in-game audio, with the help of Pro-G audio drivers which are made from hybrid mesh materials to remove distortion from frequencies and deliver ‘audiophile' levels of quality. On top of that, DTS Headphone:X Surround Sound technology has also been included. This is a virtual surround solution, which replicates a 7.1 speaker set up.

Aside from the promised audio quality, the G533 also boasts superior wireless technology, which aims to deliver higher quality sound over a distance of up to 15 meters, even while in the midst of high electro-magnetic interference. Thanks to ultra-low latency, you also shouldn't experience any lag between your audio and what's on the screen.

While we are on the topic of wireless, it is also worth noting that this headset has a 15 hour battery life on a single charge, so it should last long enough for those marathon gaming sessions. The battery in the headset is rechargeable and replaceable, so if you ever notice overall battery life starting to dip, you can put a new battery in to get things back up to normal.

The Logitech G533 will be available quite soon, with the first units expected to hit retail in January. You can expect reviews to also start popping up around the same time. This will be a pricey headset at launch though, sitting at £139.99.

KitGuru Says: Logitech's past wireless headsets have all been fairly good so it will be interesting to see how this one stacks up. Are any of you currently using a Logitech headset? Are you planning on upgrading this year?
