HyperX launches modular Clutch Talon Xbox controller and Stinger 3 headset

HyperX is expanding its gaming peripheral lineup with new wired headsets and a high-end controller. The headsets are the latest version of the well-known Stinger (Stinger 3), available in black and white in wired and wireless formats. As for the controller, it's the highly customisable Clutch Talon.

On the audio front, the HyperX Cloud Stinger 3 and its Xbox-branded sibling, the CloudX Stinger 3, have arrived to offer that signature HyperX comfort at a more accessible price point. The battery longevity is the first thing to stand out, with the wireless model now boasting up to 80 hours of battery life. Despite the lightweight frame, HP hasn't skimped on durability, incorporating stainless-steel sliders and 50mm drivers to maintain high immersion. The swivel-to-mute noise-cancelling microphone returns, keeping your comms clear. Lastly, the wireless models offer tri-mode connectivity, allowing you to connect them to a device via cable, 2.4G (dongle), or Bluetooth.

Designed for players who refuse to settle for out-of-the-box settings, the Talon features a tool-free modular design that allows you to swap sticks, D-pads, triggers, and back paddles on the fly. It even supports 3D-printable parts for bespoke ergonomics. Under the hood, it uses Hall-effect sensors for its sticks and triggers, effectively eliminating stick drift while delivering high precision. It's versatile as well, supporting PC, Android, and Xbox via dual wireless connectivity with a solid 30-hour battery life.

Tying the entire ecosystem together is an update to the HyperX Ngenuity software, which has officially graduated from beta. The new version integrates the HEAR360 Audio Engine, giving users access to tools like parametric EQs and advanced spatial audio. It also introduces additional tuning options, such as adjustable actuation points and SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) for keyboards.

The HyperX Cloud Stinger 3 family is now available with a base price of $49.99 for the wired versions and $99.99 for the wireless ones. The Clutch Talon Controller is expected to hit shelves this summer for $159.99.
