Cooler Master details five new gaming monitors

Cooler Master is still relatively new to the gaming monitor market, but it already has a few decent offerings. Cooler Master is looking to expand in this area soon with the introduction of five new gaming monitors to fit different needs and budgets.

First, we have the Cooler Master GM34-CWQ2, which, according to TFTCentral, sports a 34-inch VA display with a 1500R curvature and a 3440×1440 resolution. The display's typical brightness is 320 nits, and the static contrast ratio is 4000:1. The monitor's colour bit depth is 10-bit (8-bit+FRC), which helps it cover 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space. It offers a 2ms GTG response time (0.5ms MPRT) and a 165Hz native refresh rate that can be overclocked to 180Hz.

The monitor is AMD FreeSync Premium-certified and has two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port with 65W power delivery, two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and two 5W speakers. The ergonomic stand can be adjusted in height, swivel, and tilt. This monitor will be released in early Q1 2024 for £379/$419.

Then there's the Cooler Master GZ271, with its distinguishing 27-inch OLED display, according to DisplaySpecifications. It features a 240Hz refresh rate, a QHD resolution, a 10-bit colour bit depth, and 98.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. The display supports AMD FreeSync Premium and HDR10 content and has a typical brightness of 150 nits (it maxes out at 450 nits). The Cooler Master GZ2711 includes an ergonomic stand with pivot, swivel, tilt, and height adjustment capabilities. Two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port with 90W power delivery, two USB-A ports, and a headphone jack are available for connectivity. There are also two 3W speakers. Pricing and availability of this monitor are yet to be determined.

According to TFTCentral, the Cooler Master GP2711 has a 27-inch VA panel with a QHD resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 4ms GTG response (1ms MPRT), and an 8-bit colour bit depth. Its contrast ratio is 3000:1, and its typical brightness is 600 nits, but it can peak up to 1500 nits, probably thanks to the Mini LED backlight with 576 local dimming zones. Due to its high peak brightness, it received the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The Cooler Master GP2711 is also AMD FreeSync Premium Pro-certified. Moreover, it covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 99% of the sRGB colour space. Two 2W speakers, two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone jack, and two USB-A 3.0 ports are included with the monitor.

Its ergonomic stand has a height adjustment range of up to 110mm and also allows you to tilt, pivot, and swivel the display. This model also benefits from Cooler Master's customised backplate cooling design, which improves heat dissipation and decreases IC temperature by 5 degrees. The Tempest GP2711 is expected to cost £429/$449 and release in early Q1 2024.

Lastly, we have the Cooler Master GM2711 and GM2711S. As per TFTCentral, both have a 27-inch Ultra Speed IPS display with an 8-bit colour bit depth, a QHD resolution, 350 nits of typical brightness, a 180Hz refresh rate, and a static contrast ratio of 1000:1. The displays cover 98% of the sRGB colour space and 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space. Both monitors have two HDMI 2.0 connectors and a DisplayPort 1.4. However, while the GM2711 has a 3.5 mm audio-in jack and a 3.5 mm audio-out connection, the G2711S has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a line-out connector, a USB-A port (firmware update), and a USB-B port (PC microphone extender).

The GTG response time also differ between the two monitors, with the GM2711 rated at 3ms (1ms MPRT) and the GM2711S at 2ms (0.5ms response time). Moreover, the GM2711S also features AUO's Advanced Reflectionless Technology (ART), which decreases distractions caused by ambient light reflection or glare, and dual-driver tech, which improves the issue of incomplete colour display in the lower right corner of screens due to the slow charging of liquid crystals.

The stand's ergonomic capabilities are also different, with the Cooler Master GM2711's stand being limited to tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. On the other hand, the Cooler Master GM2711S's stand offers height, swivel, tilt, and pivot adjustments. The GM2711 pricing and availability were not shared. As for the GM2711S, it will be available in early Q1 2024 for £265/$299.
