Lenovo introduces two new ultrawide Legion gaming monitors

Lenovo will soon expand its gaming monitor portfolio with two new Legion ultrawide monitors. The smaller one, which is actually the most expensive due to its mini-LED technology, is the 34-inch Legion Y34wz-30. The other one is the Legion R45w-30, a 45-inch monitor that you can configure to work as two separate displays.

The Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30 packs a 34-inch ultrawide curved mini-LED panel with 3440×1440 resolution, 1ms MPRT, 180Hz (OC) refresh rate, and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Capable of covering 125% of the sRGB spectrum and 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut, this 10-bit colour panel comes factory calibrated with a ΔE<2. The Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30 can deliver 140W of power through a USB-C port to charge your devices. Furthermore, there's HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB hub to connect other devices.

The Lenovo Legion R45w-30 Gaming Monitor has a 44.5-inch panel with a 32:9 aspect ratio, a 170Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms MPRT. With 500 nits of peak brightness, the display can cover up to 120% of the sRGB gamut and 115% of the DCI-P3 colour space. Support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Adaptive Sync provides a tear-free gaming experience, even with HDR enabled. The Lenovo Legion R45w-30 has various connection options, including USB-C Gen2 (75W power delivery) and HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a USB hub and an audio-out port.

Both Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30 and R45w-30 monitors provide PIP/PBP support, 2.5G LAN (RJ45) ports, and a KVM switch. Moreover, they feature Lenovo's True Split technology, which allows the display to be partitioned into two discrete monitors with just one input cable. Lastly, the two monitors are compatible with Lenovo's Artery software to configure the displays and built-in gaming utilities.

The Lenovo Legion R45w-30 will cost $999.99 and will be available in August 2023. The Lenovo Legion Y34wz-30 is planned to be available in July 2023 for $1,199.99.
