Despite only being officially announced a couple months ago, Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 6 is reportedly set to launch during the first half of 2026.

Since the first game’s arrival in 2017, the Horizon franchise has grown massively, with recent figures putting the series at 40 million copies sold. Despite being a single player focused franchise, Guerrilla Games have revealed in the wake of NCSoft’s Horizon Steel Frontiers MMO announcement that “from the first moment we imagined Horizon, we always thought about it as a multiplayer game.”

Following the last update back in July, Sony’s Horizon franchise has reportedly sold over 40 million copies since the first game's launch in 2017.

After years of leaks and rumours, it appears as though the Horizon MMO from NCSoft could be officially announced as soon as this week.

As part of the ongoing Sony v Tencent lawsuit, the PlayStation maker has revealed that they plan to release the Horizon Zero Dawn film by 2027.

Just yesterday, we reported on the lawsuit filed by Sony against Tencent as a result of the announcement of their Horizon: Zero Dawn ‘clone’ Light of Motiram. As part of the filings, the console maker (who typically picks and chooses when to share game sales data) has revealed that PlayStation’s Horizon franchise is nearing 40 million copies sold.

Sony is now suing Tencent for IP violations as a result of their recently announced Horizon: Zero Dawn “clone” Light of Motiram.

Despite launching weeks later, Forza Horizon 5 has already outsold Assassin’s Creed Shadows on PS5 – currently sitting at 2.2 million copies sold.
