Win one of 6 KIOXIA NVMe SSDs – total value £1200!

We’ve all been hammering our old systems hard over the last 12 months and a performance boost would be great. Whether you’re upgrading an existing rig or building a new system, not many products will have more impact on your everyday experience than your boot drive. KIOXIA has given KitGuru six NVMe drives to give away as prizes and that means six lucky readers have the chance to get a solid boost this summer, just by sending in an email!

The KIOXIA Exceria Plus SSD has been built for enthusiast-class systems, using an 8-channel controller to bring out the full potential of its BICS Flash 3D memory in an M.2 2280 form factor that is suitable for compatible desktop or mobile systems. We have 3x of these drives and each has a 2TB capacity as well as a maximum claimed sequential read speed of 3,400MB/second. When we reviewed the drive last year, we highlighted its performance and 5 year warranty as it picked up a Worth Buying award.

We also have 3x KIOXIA Exceria NVMe SSDs each with a 1TB capacity. With read speeds up to 1,700MB/sec, you’ll be moving data around at up to three times the speed of a traditional SATA SSD. These drives also use BICS Flash 3D memory in an M.2 2280 form factor.

TO WIN
These six drives combined would cost you almost £1,200 at the time we went to press. For a chance to win one, all you need to do is email [email protected] using the subject line “I want to boost my system performance with a KIOXIA NVMe drive” and include the answer to this question:–

What is the maximum sequential read speed of the KIOXIA Exceria Plus?

  1. 2400 MB/s
  2. 3000 MB/s
  3. 3400 MB/s

KitGuru says: There you have it. Easy to enter and you might just win a brand new NVMe M.2 drive!

KitGuru Games: Resolution Doesn’t Matter (Anymore)

There once was a time when console generations were defined through the resolution by which the console could output at. One of the biggest selling points of the Xbox 360 and PS3 was the fact that these systems were capable of outputting games in HD. Yet, as consoles support higher and higher resolutions, we have seen developers focus less on offering games at such resolutions, instead using new rendering techniques to create what may be the start of the post-resolution gaming experience...
