Nvidia driver update fixes crucial security vulnerabilities

Nvidia GeForce, RTX, Quadro, NVS and Tesla GPU users will want to update their drivers soon. Nvidia has pushed out a hotfix with a number of critical security fixes that if left unfixed, could allow for unauthorised access to systems.

This will be particularly crucial to the enterprise sector, which has largely adopted Nvidia GPUs in recent years to accelerate AI tasks and development. However, gamers should update too to remain on the safe side.

There are several vulnerabilities at play here that can allow for things like permission escalation, remote code execution, denial of service, data tampering and other unauthorised acts.

If you are running Driver version 566 or higher, then you should be protected from these newly dislosed vulnerabilities. The recent Game Ready driver for Dragon Age: The Veilguard already includes these fixes.
