We’ve reviewed a lot of Edifier speakers over the years, often larger, bookshelf sized speakers. This year, Edifier is seeing what it can do in a much smaller form factor with the new D12, which aims to offer the best sound in its size class.
The D12 is a desktop stereo speaker equipped with two 4-inch woofers and two fine-tuned 19mm silk dome tweeters. All of that is packed into a wooden enclosure to reduce acoustic resonance. Inside there are also two independent cavities to avoid phase interference between the left and right channels and improving audio accuracy.
The D12 is capable of 70 watts of distortion-free power output, so it can provide clear audio to a full room. There are also a number of connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5.0, RCA and AUX. There is also a line-out port to hook this up to an extra subwoofer or other active speakers.
