Corsair Platform:4 Desk Review

Rating: 7.5.

It’s been roughly a year since Corsair launched their first desk, the Platform:6, and while it fell short in a few areas, it’s solid and is still going strong in my studio a year later. Well, Corsair are now adding to their desk offerings with the release of the Platform:4 – a smaller and more compact unit which offers the same modular design and sit/stand functionality. However, coming in at over a grand depending on the colour option you choose, is the Platform 4 worth it?

You can buy the Platform:4 Desk direct from Corsair starting at £799.99 HERE.

Pros:

  • Great build quality.
  • Premium desk finish and solid wood construction (on more expensive models).
  • Low noise and good quality dual motor sit/stand functionality.
  • Modular design allows the use of side extension panels, pegboards and other accessories.
  • Easy to assemble.
  • Convenient desktop storage and charging.

Cons:

  • Expensive.
  • Lacklustre cable management options.
  • Plastic cable tray should be metal considering the price.
  • Only a single monitor arm included where the Platform:6 comes with a dual monitor arm.
  • Monitor arm can make it hard to place the desk flat against a wall.
  • No included shelves for use with the T cross rail.

KitGuru says: The Platform:4 desk shares the same high cost, exceptional build quality and premium finish as the bigger Platform:6. However there are still a few areas that need to be improved upon, such as the very exposed cable management tray.
