EVGA goes on the offensive – invites all comers!

nVidia’s number one partner (for many countries) has recently been the subject of a lot of half-baked rumours. Classy companies would rise above this kind of innuendo and go on the offensive. Which is exactly what Andrew Han’s team has done.

Timed perfectly to begin at the start of the official World Cup in South Africa, EVGA is kicking off its own tournament under the banner: FIFA World Challenge (Fermi Is Flipping Amazing, or so we believe).

With a bucket of prizes to give away, including one of the gorgeous SR2 mainboards, Andrew Han is moving forward and creating positive vibes for his company’s global sales expansion.

EVGA Andrew Han
This could be you!

Andrew Han has been involved in graphics for more than 23 years and started being an exclusive nVidia partner in 2001. One of his earliest award winners was the EVGA GeForce2 MX card. By today’s standards, this was a positive minnow.

State of the art. Well. In 2001.

KitGuru also loves getting involved in a bit of competitive action. If you can tell us how many EVGA GeForce2 MX cards it would take to completely cover the surface of an EVGA SR2 mainboard – we’ll send you a brand new Thermaltake Contac29 CPU cooler and stick your face on our home page. We will pick a winner in a couple of weeks time.

You can enter our tiny tournament by dropping your guess into our forum here.

Entry into EVGA’s Fermi-Is-Flipping-Amazing World Cup Challenge is on their home page at http://eu.evga.com/ – remember they have over $5,000 worth of prizes, so it’s well worth a look.

KitGuru says: Good luck in both competitions. For the real World Cup, we’re wondering who will lose to Brazil in the final. We've spoken with Miodrag Relic at EVGA who confirmed that he's also happy to go down to a Brazilian.    Giving this situation proper consideration, you have to wonder who EVGA employees will be rooting for when Germany plays in South Africa.
