Nvidia’s flagship next-gen GPU may come with 48GB of GDDR6X memory

There are plenty of rumours swirling around Nvidia's next-generation of GeForce RTX graphics cards. We've already heard several claims about the RTX 4090, RTX 4080 and RTX 4070. According to a new rumour, there will be an even more powerful graphics card based on the AD102 chip.

According to kopite7kimi, Nvidia is working on a graphics card based on the AD102-450-A1 GPU, featuring 18,176 CUDA cores. This card will apparently use a different board to the RTX 4090, as well as an upgraded memory subsystem with 48GB of GDDR6X memory clocked at 24Gbps. It is also claimed that the graphics card may have an 800W TBP.

Judging by the specs, if this GPU does exist, it may well be a next generation Titan, or perhaps an RTX 4090 Ti. We are likely to see other RTX 40 series graphics cards first, with rumours claiming a 2022 launch for the RTX 4090, followed by the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070.

KitGuru says: With an 800W TBP, most people would likely need a PSU upgrade before running one of these in their system. Nothing has been officially announced yet though, so as always, treat this information as rumour rather than fact.
