Control’s second expansion releases this month

Back in March, Remedy's latest thriller, Control, received its first expansion, expanding on the history of ‘The Oldest House', where the game is set. Now, the second expansion is on its way, dubbed ‘AWE', which will also introduce an Alan Wake crossover of some kind.

The teaser trailer for Control Expansion 2, AWE, was revealed during Sony's State of Play stream last night. It clocks in at just one-minute long but it serves as a good teaser for what's to come.

As we can see, there will be some new enemies, environments, puzzles, weapon abilities and of course, a cameo from Alan Wake somewhere along the way. Alan Wake making his way over to Control may sound like it makes no sense, but if you've played the game, then you can figure out how Remedy may fit such a moment in.

The AWE expansion centres around the Investigation Sector, which was sealed off from the rest of the building many years before Jesse Faden's arrival. While exploring, you will figure out what happened there and attempt to put an end to a mysterious being haunting the area.

Control's second expansion officially releases on the 27th of August across PC, Xbox One and PS4.

KitGuru Says: I'm looking forward to diving back into Control to explore all of the extra content that has been added since release last year. Are many of you planning on jumping back in for this next expansion?
