Overwatch Legendary Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch next month

Last year, Blizzard reforged its relationship with Nintendo by bringing Diablo 3 to the Switch. This year, Blizzard is targeting Switch owners once again with the release of Overwatch for Nintendo's hybrid console.

Overwatch Legendary Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch, complete with all of the maps, modes, heroes and updates released to date. You can see the announcement trailer below:

Overwatch for Nintendo Switch was briefly leaked in August, as an official Switch accessory partner accidentally put up a listing for an Overwatch-themed Switch carry-case. Now, the game has been confirmed, with a release date set for the 15th of October.

As you would expect, Overwatch will be playable in handheld and docked modes. Blizzard is also taking advantage of the Switch's portability by incorporating gyro-aiming, which has been a well received feature in other games, including DOOM, Wolfenstein II, Splatoon 2 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

KitGuru Says: Overwatch has always seemed like a good fit for the Nintendo Switch. I'll be looking forward to trying this out for myself, although I do wish docked/handheld frame rates were confirmed. Are any of you thinking about picking up Overwatch on Switch this year?

Fortunately, the team at Pearl Abyss have been quick to respond to criticisms – with Crimson Desert having now climbed its way to a ‘Very Positive’ score on Steam.
