Xbox Elite Series 3 controller leaks ahead of reveal

We've known for a long time now that Microsoft has plans for a third Xbox Elite Series controller. The gamepad has been seen in leaks before, but now, it appears that the new controller has its feature set locked in.

Dataminers have found new details about the Xbox Elite Series 3 controller, finding references to both Hall Effect and TMR sticks, as well as new ‘advanced haptics' features. Other details revealed in this latest leak include a dedicated scroll wheel for audio controls, and new removable faceplates so you can customise the look of your controller easier.

The Xbox Elite Series 3 controller has appeared in leaks before, but with this latest information coming from the software side, it seems like the foundations are finally being put in place for a proper launch.

Right now, there is no word on a specific release date or a price. Current Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers go for around £150, but new features could drive the Series 3 price up a bit higher.
