Microsoft cuts Xbox One price to $349 again, offers deals in the U.K.

Microsoft Corp. temporarily slashed price of its Xbox One game console to $349 in the U.S. for the holiday season. Earlier this month the price of the system returned to its normal levels only to be cut once again this week. While the company has not officially cut the recommended price of Xbox One in the U.K., it offers several nice deals in its store.

“Building off a record-setting holiday, we are excited to announce a new promotion in which fans in the U.S. can buy an Xbox One at a special price of $349, starting tomorrow, January 16, from their preferred retailer,” said Mike Nichols, corporate vice president of marketing for Xbox. “We are thankful for all the excitement for Xbox One this holiday and proud to offer more fans the amazing games lineup, Xbox Live gaming community, and continual innovation that Xbox One fans have come to enjoy.”

Previously Microsoft Xbox One without Kinect was available for $399, but it looks like the price of $349 increased sales of the system so significantly that the software giant decided to continue selling the console at this price point.

Even though Microsoft has not cut the price of Xbox One in the U.K. officially to below £349, it currently offers Xbox One with Kinect and Assassin’s Creed: Unity for £359 as well as white Xbox One special edition with Sunset Overdrive for £329 with a £20 Microsoft Store voucher.
