Computex: New GPU blocks, custom PSU cables and more at the Alphacool booth

Despite having gone on a trip to Alphacool HQ in February, we of course still popped by their booth at Computex to take a look at some new products. We saw a bunch of new designs, including a new GPU block, a custom cabling kit and a few modded PC projects.

First of all, the GPN-X Eisblock GPU block. This is obviously a full-cover graphics card waterblock, but it is designed to be a bit more ‘aesthetically pleasing' as current Alphacool blocks are more performance-focused than anything else. Combine the new, sleeker design with Alphacool's history of quality and good-value products, the GPN-X Eisblock should be a success.

Next, Alphacool is actually branching out slightly into the DIY custom cable market. The company exhibited its new kit which gives users the materials to make your own custom cables – but you still have to make them. There are no plans to bring pre-assembled cables to the market just yet.

In-terms of its AIOs, Alphacool is continuing to focus on the expandable Eisbaer liquid cooler range, so there is nothing new here. However, the company did show us a new, bigger size: a 420mm Eisbaer, so 3x 140mm. You can be sure that would provide plenty of cooling power for you component(s).

Lastly, there were also a couple of system mods that use Alphacool hardware – the Lime Ice and the Red Devil. Both use hardline tubing and look very swish indeed.

KitGuru says: While Alphacool did not show off tonnes of new stuff, the new GPN-X Eisblock looks a lot better compared to the current line of GPU blocks. Would any of you guys use Alphacool hardware if you were planning a custom loop?
