Ryzen 3 is here, 4C/4T starting at £105

AMD's Ryzen series of desktop CPUs is one step closer to being complete as today, Ryzen 3 officially launched. The Ryzen 3 line consists of two 4C/4T processors with the primary differences between the two being clock speed and price.

The Ryzen 3 1300X features a 3.5GHz base clock speed and boosts up to 3.7GHz meanwhile the Ryzen 3 1200 uses a 3.1GHz base speed and boosts up to 3.4GHz. However, as our review indicates, overclocking is fairly good on both of these chips so if you want to get the most out of your CPU, there is some wiggle room there. Both of these CPUs fall firmly into the mainstream/affordable category too, with the Ryzen 3 1300X retailing for £124.99 and the Ryzen 3 1200 going for £104.99.

Both of these new processors come with one of AMD's improved stock coolers- the Wraith Stealth. Our review goes over temperature performance in detail with this cooler installed but it is safe to say that we had no complaints.

You can buy the Ryzen 3 1300X and the Ryzen 3 1200 here in the UK starting from today. Overclockers UK is taking orders already. You can find our full review of both Ryzen 3 CPUs, HERE.

KitGuru Says: Ryzen 3 is shaping up to be another great competitor, particularly against Intel's Core i3 CPUs. Are any of you planning on picking up a Ryzen processor any time soon? What do you think of these new Ryzen 3 chips?
