Nvidia’s DLSS is coming to ten more titles this month

Since launching DLSS with the first generation of RTX graphics cards, Nvidia has improved on its AI upscaling technology a ton. At this point, DLSS can now be found in 120 games, with ten more titles implementing the technology soon. Interestingly, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, one of the very first games to support DLSS, is now updating to the latest version, which should greatly enhance visuals.

Throughout October, DLSS will be coming to Back 4 Blood, Baldur's Gate 3, Chivalry 2, Crysis Remastered Trilogy, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Sword and Fairy 7 and Swords of Legends Online. Additionally, DLSS is also supported in two very recently released titles – Alan Wake Remastered and F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider was one of the first titles to support DLSS and to this day, still uses an early 1.0 version. In its early days, DLSS did have some visual issues, and in titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you could notice a pixelated artefact in some scenes. This has been completely eliminated with newer, DLSS 2.0 versions and now, these new updates will be coming to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In addition, the developers are going back and implementing DLSS in Rise of the Tomb Raider as well.

DLSS performance gains differ on a title by title basis, so in the case of Alan Wake Remastered, it can double performance, while in titles like Back 4 Blood and Chivalry 2, performance gains are closer to the 50 percent mark.

KitGuru Says: As nice as ray-tracing is, DLSS has been a true game changer with recent graphics cards. How many of you use an RTX GPU? Do you switch DLSS on whenever it is available?
