Bethesda is giving away some of its classic RPGs for free on Steam

With the Bethesda.net launcher shutting down soon, Bethesda is fully embracing Steam once again. This means some classic Bethesda titles are heading to Steam for the first time, with several of them being given away for free.

For starters, the game that kicked the entire franchise off, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, is now available for free on Steam, as is the sequel, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. Now you can complete your Elder Scrolls collection on Steam ahead of The Elder Scrolls VI, which is coming… eventually.

Finally, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, a 19 year old classic, is also available for free on Steam. This is an open source multiplayer game set in World War 2, with up to 32 players per match, six maps and give soldier classes. If you ever miss the days of early 2000s and late 90s first-person shooters, then this might be worth getting a group together for.

Aside from the free games, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire are also now available on Steam for the first time.

KitGuru Says: There will be at least one major new Bethesda release heading to Steam later this year as well, Starfield. Once that game is all wrapped up, BGS should begin ramping up development on The Elder Scrolls VI.
