Nvidia restocks RTX 3080 and RTX 3060 Ti at MSRP as GPU prices continue to drop

While Nvidia's RTX 30 series cards have been popular, supply chain constraints, price inflation and a booming crypto market meant that many gamers have been unable to get one. Things are starting to turn around though, as RTX 3080 and RTX 3060 Ti Founders Edition cards have just been re-stocked at MSRP in the UK, and second-hand GPUs on eBay have also come down in price considerably.

If you just want to buy a new graphics card at MSRP, then you can currently find the RTX 3060 Ti FE for £369 and the RTX 3080 FE for £649 on Nvidia's website. The RTX 3090 Ti is also in stock at MSRP, but its £1,879 price tag is a tall order in a world where more reasonably priced GPUs are actually in stock.

Update (15:50PM, 16th June): Nvidia has updated its UK store again with new stock of RTX 3070 and RTX 3070 Ti Founders Edition graphics cards, selling at their respective MSRPs of £469 and £549. The previously mentioned RTX 3080 and RTX 3060 Ti also continue to be in stock here in the UK.

Since launch, RTX 30 graphics card prices have also been a mess on places like eBay. Low retail stock meant that scalpers could control pricing. At one point, the £649 RTX 3080 Founders Edition was being sold for around £1,500, more than a brand new RTX 3090. These inflated prices have been seen across the board, with RTX 3070 cards previously going for around £1000 and RTX 3060 series cards going for around £600.

Now, the crypto market has seen a major dip this year and retail stock has improved, leading to huge price drops on the second hand market. Looking on eBay this afternoon, we can find custom RTX 3080 models and Founders Edition versions for between £600 and £800, RTX 3070 models can be found for under £500, and RTX 3060 Ti cards can be found for less than £400.
