The Logitech G Cloud is heading to the UK with an astonishing price tag

Last summer, Logitech announced plans to launch a new dedicated gaming handheld. However, unlike the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch, which play games locally, the Logitech G Cloud would primarily focus on streaming services, like GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. The handheld has been available in the US for months, but it is now making its way to the UK and Europe.

The Logitech G Cloud packs a 7-inch 1080p/60Hz display in a compact form factor with integrated controls. The device supports remappable buttons, haptic feedback and even gyroscope aiming. Logitech also claims 12+ hours of battery life, although we don't know if that's 12 straight hours while streaming games or running native apps.

Logitech has teamed up with Microsoft and Nvidia to ensure that Xbox Cloud Gaming (available with Game Pass Ultimate) and GeForce Now are accessible on the system. With these two services, you'll have access to over a thousand games.

Unfortunately, while this would be a very interesting device for enthusiasts looking to dip their toes into the handheld market, its £329 price tag puts it in very expensive territory, just slightly cheaper than a base model Steam Deck, which will run many full PC games natively, as well as allow for cloud streaming.

The Logitech G Cloud will be available in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland in the near future.

KitGuru Says: At £199, I would give this a shot but at £329 there is just no way. For a little extra, you could get a Steam Deck or an OLED Nintendo Switch.
