Red Dead Redemption releases on Steam in October

Red Dead Redemption has been on just about every platform in the past decade, with the exception of PC. Rockstar finally made things right with the prequel-sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2. Now, the company has finally gone back to bring us the original game.

Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC on the 29th of October, 14 years on from the game's original release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The PC version will also include the critically acclaimed expansion, Undead Nightmare, which transforms the world of Red Dead Redemption into a zombie-infested hellscape.

There will be a few PC-specific enhancements for Red Dead Redemption, including support for higher resolutions, ultrawide displays, high refresh rates, HDR, full mouse and keyboard functionality and upscaling tech like DLSS 3 and FSR 3.

Unlike previous titles from Rockstar, Red Dead Redemption will be available across all PC stores on day-one, including Steam, the Rockstar launcher and the Epic Games Store.

KitGuru Says: With Red Dead Redemption finally landing on PC, will you be diving into it for the first time? I only played a small amount of the game on Xbox back in the day, so I'm looking forward to finally experiencing the story with the added context that Red Dead Redemption 2 gave to us.
