ASRock expands its monitor lineup with five new Phantom Gaming models

ASRock is continuing its aggressive expansion into the gaming peripheral market, announcing a fresh lineup of Phantom Gaming and Challenger series monitors. The new headliners, the PG27FFS2E, PG27FFS2E-W, and PG27FFS1A, are clearly aimed at the heart of the competitive-grade market, offering a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response times on 27-inch IPS panels.

The new Phantom Gaming displays, including the PG27FFS2E, the white-themed PG27FFS2E-W, and the PG27FFS1A, are designed for competitive gaming with a 240Hz refresh rate, Full HD resolution, and a 1ms response time. If you have a modern white gaming setup, then the S2E-W should be of interest to you, as it will match your system and peripherals.

These 27-inch FHD IPS panels strike a balance between fluidity and colour accuracy, with 99% sRGB coverage and factory-calibrated profiles. The inclusion of AMD FreeSync Premium ensures that fast-paced titles remain tear-free, while the four-sided slim bezel design makes them particularly attractive for multi-monitor setups. User comfort is addressed through flicker-free technology and an anti-glare coating. Moreover, it features a 5-way joystick for OSD adjustments, providing quick access to gaming features such as Dark Boost and Overdrive. While the S2E models feature a fully ergonomic stand with height, swivel, and pivot capabilities, the S1A variant offers a more streamlined tilt/swivel stand for those who prioritise a lower price point over full adjustability.

Expanding its reach to mainstream gamers who may not require the speed of the Phantom Gaming series, ASRock also introduced the Challenger series CL25FFB and CL27FFB. These entry-level models move to a 144Hz refresh rate while maintaining FHD resolution and FreeSync support, meeting ENERGY STAR 8.0 standards for improved power efficiency. Across the Phantom Gaming series, specialised display modes let users easily switch between presets for gaming, cinema, and productivity.
