Forza Horizon 6 PC system requirements announced

Forza Horizon 6 is less than two months away, and Playground Games has now revealed full PC system requirements for the game. As with Forza Horizon 5, there are multiple spec tiers, ranging from minimum through to an “Extreme RT” configuration for high-end hardware.

Forza Horizon 6 will invite players to race across the streets of Japan, around a highly detailed recreation of Tokyo and beyond. The game is launching on the 19th of May for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game is also coming to PS5, as Microsoft continues to focus on its multiplatform strategy.

As for PC system requirements, the game is relatively accessible with its minimum spec, which calls for:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 or AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT or Intel Arc A380
• System RAM: 16GB
• Storage: SSD
• Windows version: Windows 10/11 (at least 22H2)
• Additional notes: Graphical preset: Low, Resolution: 1080p, *Target FPS: 60

The recommended spec makes the jump to:

• CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or Intel Arc A580
• System RAM: 16GB
• Storage: SSD
• Windows version: Windows 10/11 (at least 22H2)
• Additional notes: Graphical preset: High, Resolution: 1440p, *Target FPS: 60+

The ideal “Extreme” spec, which we assume targets 4K/60FPS at very high settings, calls for:

• CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
• System RAM: 24GB
• Storage: NVMe SSD
• Windows version: Windows 10/11 (at least 22H2)
• Additional notes: Graphical preset: Extreme, Resolution: 4K, *Target FPS: 60+

An additional “Extreme RT” spec is also listed for ray-traced visuals:

• CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
• System RAM: 32GB
• Storage: NVMe SSD
• Windows version: Windows 10/11 (at least 22H2)
• Additional notes: Graphical preset: Extreme RT (ray tracing enabled), Resolution: 4K upscaled, *Target FPS: 60+
