Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen officially announced

For a few months now, we've been hearing rumours about a new, revamped version of Dragon's Dogma 2. This afternoon during a Nintendo Direct, Capcom announced exactly that, with Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen now set to launch in October.

Fans of the series will know that the original Dragon's Dogma also had a massive revamp with its own Dark Arisen version. This version of the game also went on to introduce the game to a whole new audience of players on Xbox One and PS4 consoles, as well as PC.

Now, Capcom is doing something similar with Dragon's Dogma 2, promising new content and other enhancements in this new version.

Capcom hasn't revealed much more of the new expansion content outside of the trailer. However, we do know that the Dark Arisen expansion will be available as a separate purchase to owners of the original game, but new players will now be able to buy Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen instead, which bundles the two together.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam) on the 9th of October.

KitGuru Says: I've been waiting for something like this to happen before jumping into Dragon's Dogma 2. Did many of you play the base game? Are you returning for the expansion?
