RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, the Epic Games Store gives away a title or two for free to all those with an EGS account. Available to claim now, Epic is offering the PC classic RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 alongside the hand-drawn 2D metroidvania Voidwrought.

Available to add to your library from now until the 2nd of July, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition is a PC classic from 2004 which sees you construct and manage a theme park. Developed by studio ‘Frontier’ (who would later go on to create the Planet Coaster series), RollerCoaster Tycoon remains one of the best management sims out there.

On the other end of the spectrum, Voidwrought released just a couple years ago in 2024. Developed and published by indie studio Powersnake, this hand-drawn 2D action-platforming metroidvania couples an excellent art style with solid gameplay.

Seen by some as wholly underrated while others have lamented its mechanics, Voidwrought is worth checking out and forming your own opinion – especially for the price of free.

As always, you have until next Thursday to claim these games, at which point they will be replaced by the adventure-puzzler ‘I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream’ alongside the fun co-op beat ‘em up River City Girls 2.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this week’s offerings? Are you a fan of simulation / management games? Which series is your favourite? Let us know down below.
